Les recherches de Dr. METZ portent sur la maîtrise de la chaîne conduisant du précurseur au matériau et à sa fonction électro-céramique. Les recherches actuelles sont dédiées à l’optimisation de l’état solide à la fois au niveau du procédé et de la formulation pour l’obtention de varistances à haute capacité d’absorption d’énergie.
METZ's research is aimed at understanding composition, structure-property-performance relationships in electrically active oxide materials. Current research emphasizes the modeling, processing, characterization and optimization of solid state ionic such as thermistors and varistors.
